Sheila Moss, Humor Columnist...

Meet The Columnist

Hi, I'm Sheila Moss, Tennessee humorist and free-lance columnist as well as producer, writer, editor, webmaster and chief coffee drinker here at "HumorColumnist.com," online since 1998, way before blogs became popular. I write a new column and publish it every week! If you don't like to laugh, you're in the wrong place.

I write about any issues or event that interests me -- things I hope you can relate to also. Although I deny doing redneck humor, some does occasionally slip in when I'm not looking.  With a background in sociology and psychology, my work may contain social commentary. Sometime an event just begs to be laughed at and I can't help myself.

I write a "lifestyle" column about the ordinary world and the humdrum things of life -- point being, make the ordinary seem extraordinary by the way the story is told. If I can do that -- it's enough.

My work is widely published in various online features and in print publications. My column is currently featured by The Daily News of Kingsport. I have written for a supplement of the Tennessean, Atlanta Woman magazine, and have articles published by major publishers, such as McGraw-Hill and Voyageur Press, and reprints have been published by numerous websites and newspapers.

I am the creator and editor of Southern Humorists.com and leader of the Southern Humorists writer's group at YahooGroups. I'm a former board member of the National Society of Newspaper Columnists and past editor of  Columnist.com, the NSNC website.

Thanks for visiting my website. If you are an editor or a webmaster, visit my editor information page to see how you can have my column in your publication or on your website.

If you are just visiting, that's great!  My readers are what make all this work worthwhile and the reason I do it.  Consider joining my mailing list on this website to receive the column in your inbox and follow me on Facebook  and Twitter.

~ Sheila ~
